PREMUDA

The House

Your base by the sea

Premuda is lived outdoors — and so is the house. Sleep cool, have breakfast on the terrace, grab the scooters and head for the water. There's room for everyone: families, groups of friends, clubs, bachelor parties and school trips who want to actually experience something together.

Big enough for all, cosy enough for each

Downstairs: living room, kitchen and two sleeping areas. Upstairs in the converted attic: two large dormitories for up to 25 people. Outside: a long terrace and a generous plot where you can also get a moment to yourself. Not a luxury hotel, not an activity resort — just cool rooms, clean beds, sea air and quiet. Exactly what you come to an island for.

Two kitchens, one big terrace

There is a large kitchen indoors and a second outdoor kitchen with its own fridge, so cooking and eating happen mostly in the open air. The generous terrace is the heart of the house — for long meals, shade in the afternoon and the evening light over the island.

Scooters, boats and the water

Three road-registered Honda 125cc scooters are available to hire, the easiest way to reach the island's bays and viewpoints. Arriving by boat? The house has a dedicated guest mooring at Krijal harbour (maximum draught 40 cm — suitable for medium and smaller motorboats and inflatable dinghies). Depending on the host's availability, water sports and boat tours can also be arranged — the best way to find the quiet coves and the Masarine rock formation.

The story of the house

The house was bought in 2012 and renovated and extended largely by hand, in the owner's own labour, over the years that followed. It has grown slowly and practically, shaped by island life rather than a showroom.

The island's biggest cistern

Water is precious on a small Adriatic island. The house holds the largest rainwater cistern on all of Premuda — so large that in dry summer months, when the supply tanker has not yet arrived, the neighbours are sometimes supplied with water from it too. It is a small thing that says a lot about how the island works: people get by together.

Stay & house rules

  • No minimum stay
  • Final cleaning: self-service or on request
  • Bed linen and towels are included
  • Nearest supermarket 5 minutes' walk from the house
