The House

A whole house for your group

The house sits on the hillside above the village. The supermarket is a five-minute walk, the water a few minutes by scooter. Downstairs you cook and sit, upstairs you sleep, and most meals happen outside. The house is only ever let to one group: families, friends, clubs, school trips.

Where everyone sleeps

Downstairs there is a living room, a kitchen and two sleeping areas. The converted attic holds two large dormitories, up to 25 beds in all. Around 180 m² altogether, plus a plot of about 1,000 m² where you can get out of each other's way. Not a hotel: clean beds, cool rooms, sea air.

Two kitchens, one big terrace

A large kitchen indoors, a second one outside with its own fridge. So cooking and eating mostly happen in the open, on the terrace of about 60 m². There is shade there in the afternoon and the island light in the evening.

Scooters, boat and water

Three road-registered Honda 125cc scooters are available to hire, which puts you at the harbour or the bays in minutes. Arriving in your own boat? A mooring at Krijal harbour belongs to the house, maximum draught 40 cm, suitable for medium and smaller motorboats and for inflatable dinghies. When the host has time, he also arranges boat trips and watersports.

In winter too

Premuda is not only a summer destination. A wood stove keeps the house warm when the island falls quiet and the sea turns rough. New Year's Eve works well here, far from the bustle of the mainland.

Where the house came from

Bought in 2012, then renovated and extended over the years, largely by the owner's own hand. It has grown slowly and is furnished to be used, not to be photographed.

The island's biggest cistern

Water is scarce on a small Adriatic island. The house holds the largest rainwater cistern on Premuda. In dry summer months, when the supply tanker has not yet arrived, the neighbours fetch their water from here too.

Common questions

How many people does the house sleep?
Up to 25. Downstairs there is a living room, a kitchen and two sleeping areas; the converted attic holds two large dormitories. Around 180 m² in all, plus a long terrace and a plot of about 1,000 m².
Can we book a single room?
No. The house is let as a whole and to one group at a time. That means both kitchens, the terrace and the plot are yours, and you share nothing with guests you don't know.
What is included in the price?
Bed linen and towels, the large indoor kitchen, the outdoor kitchen with its own fridge, air conditioning, a washing machine and a wood stove for the cold months. Final cleaning is self-service or can be booked on request.
Is there a minimum stay?
No, and check-in is flexible by arrangement. Send us the dates you have in mind and we reply by email with availability and a price. The enquiry costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Can we arrive in our own boat?
